For Uncle Dave's birthday, Melanie had to wear her new jeans, new shirt, new shoes (size 9 if you can believe that). So, here I was combing her hair and I found myself thinking - if you straighten out the curls in the back, it just might be long enough to braid...and sure enough it was. Melanie and Uncle Dave have been having lots of fun together this summer. Dave enjoys picking up Melanie from preschool because her screams of joy and excitment make you feel so loved and treasured.
