Well, we finally did it...we admitted to ourselves that Melanie is no longer a baby, and we got her a big girl bed - a twin bed. Taking the crib down was hard, but so worth it. Melanie loves her new bed and although she is having some trouble falling asleep, I am enjoying being able to lay down in her bed with her to read stories and listen to music while we are cuddled up next to each other trying to count the stars that are illuminated on the ceiling and walls by her turtle. Here is a photo of her first night in her new bed.
You can see that Mr. Bear is still at her side. It is precious to see her all cuddled up and stroking Mr. Bear's soft fur. That is when you can tell she is almost ready to drift off to sleep. I am so in love with her....my precious "baby" girl...
