Melanie’s first sleepover was a success! I can’t believe it, she didn’t miss her Mommy or Daddy at all as far we could tell. My dear friend, Carrie is wonderful and we appreciate her willingness, generosity and love towards us and Melanie to host her overnight. I was totally expecting a phone call in the wee hours of morning, when Melanie typically stirs, saying Melanie wants her Mommy, but she slept right through. Haylie and her played and ate well. It is really such a blessing to watch and help foster this budding friendship between Melanie and Haylie. Melanie even slept in Haylie’s bed (which Haylie’s wasn’t sure about at first.) I guess it is time to break down and get Melanie a twin bed and say, Bye, Bye to the crib. Baby’s growing up….
