Oh, we are so wonderfully blessed. I am so fortunate to have my family, to love and enjoy this holiday with. We went to church on Christmas Eve. It was a wonderful worship experience of the reason for the season. Melanie enjoyed the Children’s Christmas Story of the little lamb, named Joshua, who had a special job to do for God. He was chosen to be the lamb that warmed the feet of the newborn King, Jesus Christ. Each child was given a stuffed lamb to remember the story and she hung on to Joshua all night! It was such a pleasure to hear Melanie sing Joy to the World. We went over to Lynda’s for Christmas Eve dinner and Melanie was able to open some of her gifts. She was so excited that it was finally Christmas!
Christmas morning began just like any other day, Melanie came into our room around 2am and crawled into bed with us. She walked right past the gifts that Santa brought and didn’t even notice them! I woke up around 6am and discovered that Santa brought me an Ipod touch, so I got a head start on trying to get it all hooked up and synched with my computer. It is soo cool! Melanie and Jason awoke at 7am and they soon discovered that “Santa drank the milk “ALL GONE”! She is still talking about it! Very cute! Santa left Melanie a Baby Changing Station – complete with soap and multiple outfits to change all the doll babies into. It is really sweet and touching to see Melanie pretending to give baths and change diapers on her dolls and Mr. Bear! The scooter and My 1st doll house were all major hits as well. Puzzles and a train set were also fun, but Melanie needs to grow into those gifts. Mostly, Melanie was so gracious and thankful, which is best blessing of all. We spent most of the day, at home by the fire, playing with Melanie’s toys. Jason made us a delicious breakfast of sourdough waffles and bacon then around 4pm we went over to Jason’s cousin’s home for dinner. It was a calm and relaxing holiday that was enjoyed by all.
The day after, I worked a bit from home and then Jason and I headed out to
