Where Has the Time Gone

Wow, it has been since Nov 2 that I have posted...how life gets so busy. Let's see what has gone on since then...I had better look back at my photos so I can remember. Ah, yes. It is coming back to me. Mostly we have been going to dance class on Saturday mornings, raking leaves from the huge walnut tree in our yard and having a lot of fun rolling in them. Then there was Thanksgiving, yum yum! It was a very nice day - a bit rainy but helped us feel like it was fall. Melanie was ready to eat the yummy noodles that we all look forward to having every year. I was thankful to just be hanging out at home and not having to sell any produce. Sales seemed extra crazy this year, for some reason. I think it was because Thanksgiving was so late in the month this year. We were blessed with a wonderful visit from Joanie, Chris, Sedona and Marissa, on their way to Utah! Oh, to hear and see our girls playing together, it is sweet bliss! Then we had the Teddy Bear Toss at the Condors game and then all the holiday festivities began. Christmas parties, programs, decorating and just trying to carve out some time to sit by the fire and enjoy each other.

Last night, my wonderful husband, took me to the Crystal Palace for the John Berry Christmas Show. Oh how my spirit needed to hear some wonderful Christmas music and have a nice relaxing dinner with, my love. God knew back in May when Jason purchased those tickets that it would be just what I needed. I highly reccommend seeing John Berry in concert if you have the opportunity. Not only is his voice wonderful, he is a man who shares his faith in Jesus Christ so openly and intimatly. His lovely wife, Robin sings with him and even members of the band get to sing, too. He can even improvise (the power went out for over an hour and he sang and played guitar in the dark with only 1 microphone and an amp. Even though the time allotted for the concert was up, he still wanted us to hear his Christmas show, so he played longer for us than he had to. We all had a good laugh, when he changed the lyrics in the song "Kiss me in the Car" to 'Kiss me it the DARK!"

Earlier this week, Melanie was in her very first Christmas Play at church! She was an angel and Halleluiah! was her line. She was not afraid at all of the 2000 people in the audience. She even kept performing long after the play was over. All the folks dining at Coco's were treated to Melanie's repitroir of songs and hand gestures. She sure loves to sing!

Last weekend, we had Haylie, Sabine and Tristan over for the 2nd Annual Christmas pajama party. We let the kids decorate cookies and play, while us Mommies visited, relaxed and got caught up on the latest details of everyones lives. Sabine loved Tristan and gave him several kisses (his first kiss from a girl!). Lynda made the girls matching pajama bottoms, they all looked so cute!

Melanie loves the Christmas tree, especially the star on top and my co-worker, Dennis gave her a bubble light with Santa in it and she really loves that. She has been playing with her Fisher Price Nativity set - and it is so sweet to hear her talk about Baby Jesus and his Mommy & Daddy. She even set it up under the Christmas tree.

Well, I hope this somewhat catches you up on what has been happening here. We love you and miss you!
