Sourdough Eats!!

Weeks ago I promised I would share some of our sourdough eats.  Well, I made bread – two different recipes.  The first, didn’t rise too well and was very dense.  The second recipe rose better and was much more fluffy and tasty.  Jason made waffles, which are always light and fluffy and delish, especially when topped with fresh blueberry syrup.  Here are a few photos!

Recipe 1 above – Recipe 2 below (note this recipe has 1 tsp of yeast in addition to the sourdough starter but it turns out much better)

Then fold in stiff egg whitesIMG_4904IMG_4903

Top with blueberry or regular syrup or as I prefer – some of both!  Yum!

I also made Blueberry Buckle – my mom said I was addicted to Gerber’s variation as a baby!  I must say, I can’t imagine it as baby food, but I do love it!

I made one with white flour and another with whole wheat flour – both were very good!

I gotta go but recipes will follow for both!
