Today, Jason, Melanie & I met Melanie’s teacher, Mrs. Sepulveda or as Melanie calls her “Mrs. –umpulveda!” She was a bit shy as we walked down the hallway to the classroom. I am amazed at how quickly my vibrant, outgoing, energetic baby girl can become so timid and shy. I know though in a few days she will back to her old self! Its just a transition. I just know God has a lot in store for Melanie this year and we are looking forward to it.
Recently, Melanie has been very interested in weddings, brides and grooms. She loves to look at the photo album of our wedding and she really thinks it is neat that Mommy looks like a princess and Daddy looks like a prince. My heart went pitter patter when she said I was beautiful and that Daddy was handsome. Doesn’t every girl, no matter how big or small just treasure being told she is beautiful! So, she also believes that the minute we were married, God put her in my tummy! That is one long pregnancy! Today at lunch, she was telling Grandma about this and added that “before she was in my tummy, she was on a white puffy cloud in the blue sky with God, but she didn’t see him because her eyes were shut.” What a beautiful image! I wonder where she comes up with this stuff! Warms my heart every time.
