Santa Barbara Zoo

The Santa Barbara Zoo is the perfect zoo for a two year old. It took
us under 3 hours to see most of the exhibits, which is perfect for Melanie.
She loved the flamingos, gorilla, lions, penguins, "Big Elephants", Turtles,
colorful birds, lemurs and we can't forget the Giraffes. Melanie was able
to even feed the giraffes. Did you know that a giraffe's tongue is 16
inches long and that their tails are exactly the same length as their
tongues? Melanie especially liked the train. She just loves trains, maybe
Santa will give her one for Christmas.

Gracious Heavenly Father, your creation is absolutely magnificent. Each and every animal is amazing and wonderful. Thank you for Melanie's interest and excitment in seeing different animals, it is contagious. Thank you for a wonderful weekend, in which we were able to rest, relax and enjoy the ocean and each other. Amen
