7th Wedding Anniversary

Happy St. Patricks Day! Jason and I celebrated 7 years of wedded bliss by putting the final touches on Melanie's "little girl" room and going out to dinner by ourselves.

We ripped out the carpet in Melanie's room on Saturday and started laying the hardwood floors. It really was pretty simple once we got started and the floor was done by 8pm Sunday night. I am thankful that my Dad taught me how to use powertools, measure - twice and cut once! Thanks Dad! I must say that mitering the corners on the base boards nearly caused my frazzled and tired brain to combust! So, that project just had to wait until Monday, when I was refreshed and could picture those angles in my mind.

I know it wasn't a very romantic anniversary, but just working side by side my husband and enjoying a quite dinner, where we didn't have to entertain or feed a child was perfect. As we were sitting in the restaruant we noticed two couples having dinner, who had 2 tiny little babies in the carseat at their tables and we reminsced at how easy it was to take an infant out to eat compared to a toddler! Those were the days! Now it is easier to eat at home!
