“And then”…when Melanie tells a story these days it goes like this… Once upon a time there was a girl …and then …she had a grandma… and then they went to school… and then they painted…and then….
“I don’t know”… I always try to find out about Melanie’s day and recently just started replying with “I don’t know” for everything. For instance, its “I don’t know what I did today or I don’t know where I am (she told that one to grandma and uncle Dave the other day as she was standing amongst the redwood trees at the nursery. So, we have had to work on, yes she does know what she did today and where she is, she just has to slow down enough to remember and tell us! Otherwise, I would eventually find out just many days later, when she got around to telling me. Grandma says her Daddy was the same way!
