Yesterday, Melanie came home from school and informed me that Miss Heather told the class that they would be having Mac ‘n Cheese tomorrow and Mommy, Miss Heather told me that I wouldn’t be there to have Mac ‘n Cheese because it is Wednesday and I spend Wednesday’s with Grandma. Mommy, I want to go to school tomorrow!
Well, I told her we will see what she feels like in the morning. I was secretly hoping that she would forget and go to Grandma’s because for one BSF is much more important than food and how am I going to tell Grandma, that Mac ‘n Cheese won out!
So, at 5:15 I went in to wake her up and she said, no momma, I don’t want to go to Grandma’s, I want Mac ‘n Cheese. Please take me to school, Momma!
So, as parents we pick and choose our battles, right? And Jason reminded me of that – so back to sleep she went and was happy as a lark when I dropped her off at school today. Sorry, Ra Ra – I don’t know what to say! Oh, and I prompted Daddy to call grandma and tell her Melanie was going to school today instead… I know, pretty chicken !@#* of me! LOVE YOU BABE!
