Grandparents Day and Olympics

Melanie and her fellow students performed for grandparents and other relatives yesterday at her preschool.  What a glorious Celebration of God and Country.  Their singing was beautiful.  I cried when I heard all the children saying the pledge.  How powerful!  I am thankful to live in this country where we are free to glorify God in this way.  There is just something powerful about a room full of 3 and 4 year olds leading us adults in the Pledge!

After the program, each child performed their hearts out in the Olympics.  Melanie’s class performed in the bean bag toss, soccer ball kick, balance beam, and obstacle course!

Each child received a certificate and a medal in ceremonial fashion.  I am so proud of these little ones.  Each child also learned how to cheer each other on and that was probably the best part.
