This past month, Jason and I finally got ourselves a bedroom set. We will be married for 10 years this coming March and we have had an assortment of used dressers, file cabinets as night stands and have never had a headboard or footboard. So, I am now that we have the basic pieces, I want to get to decorating. I want to paint the room now too – Jason thinks the white walls are fine. So, I might have to send him away for a weekend and paint while he is gone. Any one want to take my hubby away for a weekend – and my daughter too for that matter. The hard part about picking out bedroom decorations is finding something that we both like. I like a challenge so here we go! Look out honey!
Jason’s tall dresser pictured above (I am debating what to do about the lack of decorating appeal of his things on top of the dresser). Where should a guy keep all his change and stuff?
The entertainment cabinet, we hopefully will get a TV for it soon. Plus, I want to find a chaise lounge or chair with ottoman so I can have a comfy place in our room to read and study.
My dresser – yep, need some pretty things to on top… I think I might paint the old jewelry box white and give it to Melanie and opt for one of those necklace trees.
Our bed and nightstands – definitely need new lamps (note mine doesn’t even have a lampshade). I am thinking about getting lamps that sway but are attached to the wall. New bedding for sure (this quilt I made, but I am not feeling the red, white and blue theme anymore).
Plus, I need pictures to cover the wall and drapes as well. I have a feeling its going to take awhile for this all to come together, but I am excited to get started.
