Melanie’s Loose Tooth

Finally, she lost her first tooth.  We have been watching it loosen over the past month.  We have watched the permanent teeth come in behind the baby teeth, but she was not going to let us pull it out.  She ate on the other side of her mouth.  She had several episodes of crying because it hurt.  We tried to coax her, bribe her, trick her and then finally I just had to threaten her!  LOL!  A quick swipe with some dental floss and it popped right out.  It bled a bit, which alarmed her a bit, but shortly afterwards she was all smiles and no more tears.  The next morning at breakfast she said, “ Mommy, it doesn’t hurt to eat anymore!”  I thought imagine that!  Silly girl.  She prepared for the tooth fairy by putting her tooth in a box and wrote a note to the tooth fairy and left a piece of paper and pencil for the tooth fairy to write her a note in return.  The tooth fairy wrote her a reply and left her two shiny gold dollar coins!
