Speaking your mind...

I just love the way preschoolers speak their mind. Immediatly when a thought pops into their mind they speak it with no reservations. I am certain this can lead to sticky situations, but it also allows us insight into their little minds. On Sunday, I was putting on my new long white skirt - that my dear friend Elisa convinced me that I just had to have when we went shopping on Saturday - and Melanie came into my room and this is what she said- "Mommy, your dress is beautiful, YOU look like a princess!!!" Jason and I just smiled and chuckled and after hearing that my step was a little lighter and I felt litke doing what every little girl loves to do, twirl. It brought back memories of the last time I wore I white dress...my wedding day. I must admit I felt like a princess that day! Then when I got to church, I was helping out with the preschoolers on the playground and two little girls came up to me and said just how much they liked my dress and how beautiful it was! I think little girls just love long flowey dresses and even when little girls grow up - we should have one in our closet to lighten our step and make us feel like twirling around! So, Melanie my dear, I love it when you speak your mind!
